Primary School Teaching Assistant

Purpose of the Role - To support the class teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment, enabling all children to achieve their potential. The Teaching Assistant will assist in delivering the curriculum, managing behavior, and providing individual or group support to pupils as required. Key Responsibilities 1. Classroom Support - Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons, and placement test. - Provide individual or group support to pupils, particularly those with additional learning needs. - Help prepare and maintain resources, displays, and equipment for classroom activities. 2. Supporting Pupils - Work closely with individual pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), to support their learning and development. - Foster positive relationships with pupils to enhance their emotional well-being and confidence. - Encourage and support pupils’ participation in classroom activities. - Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher. 3. Administrative Duties - Assist in maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and behavior. - Prepare materials and resources for lessons as directed by the teacher. - Support the class teacher with administrative tasks, such as photocopying and setting up equipment. 4. General Support Supervise pupils during break times, lunch periods, and on school trips. Promote a safe and inclusive environment in line with school policies. Actively participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities. Job Qualification Job Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Education/a related field - At least 1 years of working experience at the International/National School’s Primary level - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
