The Preschool Principal will be responsible for the overall administration, leadership, and operation of the preschool, ensuring a positive learning environment that aligns with educational best practices and meets regulatory standards. This role will involve managing staff, engaging with parents and the community, overseeing curriculum implementation, and maintaining a high standard of child development and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management:
  • Lead, inspire, and support a team of teachers and staff, fostering a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring that programs run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
  • Ensure that the preschool’s vision and educational philosophy are consistently applied across all programs and activities.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and professional development of staff.
  • Curriculum & Educational Oversight:
  • Develop and implement a child-centered curriculum that promotes the development of social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the educational programs, making adjustments as needed to ensure quality learning outcomes.
  • Work with teachers to evaluate and improve instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Parent & Community Engagement:
  • Maintain positive relationships with parents and caregivers, ensuring regular communication regarding children’s progress and well-being.
  • Organize parent-teacher meetings, family events, and workshops to foster community involvement.
  • Act as a liaison between the school, parents, and the broader community.
  • Compliance & Administration:
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding child care, safety, and education.
  • Manage budgets and resources, including supplies, equipment, and staffing needs.
  • Handle administrative tasks including record-keeping, enrollment, and reporting to regulatory bodies.
  • Child Safety & Well-being:
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children at the preschool.
  • Implement policies and practices that prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of students.
  • Address and resolve any behavioral or safety concerns promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in early childhood education
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development, curriculum design, and educational best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of local and state licensing requirements and regulations for preschools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
