SENIOR CNC PROGRAMMER

1. Accurately interpret engineering drawings and determine optimal machining methods to meet required part tolerances, fit, and finish. 2. Development of G-code CNC programs for CNC mills and lathes using CAMWorks. 3. Develop accurate and efficient fixtures for complicated part production when required. 4. Create 3D models using SolidWorks as needed for use in programming. 5. Create machine tool setup sheets with detailed operator instructions and visual aids. 6. Assist operators with initial run machine tool set-up, troubleshooting and improving programs to maintain machine productivity. 7. Perform miscellaneous tasks as required to support manufacturing, engineering, quality, and quoting departments. 8. Competently use all precision measuring instruments and contribute to JST’s quality program by following quality procedures. 9. Understand and act in a safe manner in a manufacturing environment. 10. Contribute to team effort by achieving results. Work cooperatively with programming team members and assist engineering with design for manufacturability. 11. Communicate design constraints and work within the team to achieve solutions. 12. Responsible for other duties and tasks as assigned and, in some circumstances, may be completely unrelated to this position and/or this department. 13. Able to work up to 10 hours of mandatory overtime as needed based upon schedule requirements.
