Job Title: Barista

Reports To: Café Manager

Job Summary:
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming environment.
• Take customer orders accurately and provide product recommendations as needed.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
• Beverage and Food Preparation:
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and standards.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items.
• Operational Duties:
• Operate and maintain coffee-making equipment.
• Restock supplies and inventory as necessary.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Cash Handling:
• Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Handle cash and card payments, including opening and closing the cash register.
• Cleanliness and Organization:
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters, equipment, and seating areas.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and supplies.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work effectively with team members to ensure smooth café operations.
• Assist in training new staff as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is an advantage.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
