Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Estimation and Budget Management:
o Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and budgets for interior design projects.
o Monitor and control project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
2. Tendering and Procurement:
o Analyze tender documents and prepare accurate tender submissions.
o Source, negotiate, and procure materials and services within budget constraints.
3. Contract Administration:
o Draft, evaluate, and manage contracts with contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
o Monitor contractual obligations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
4. Project Coordination:
o Collaborate with designers, project managers, and site teams to align costs with project requirements.
o Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify work against agreed costs and specifications.
5. Valuation and Financial Reporting:
o Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and cost reports for ongoing projects.
o Advise on variations, claims, and cost implications arising during project execution.
6. Risk Management:
o Identify and mitigate potential financial risks associated with projects.
o Ensure adherence to legal and industry standards in cost management practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in interior design or related industries.
- Technical Skills:
o Proficient in using quantity surveying and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX, etc.).
o Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and legal requirements.
- Key Competencies:
o Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
o Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
o Attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
