The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for overseeing the overall business operations, strategic direction, and growth of the company within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. The GM will lead and manage various departments including sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, and human resources, ensuring alignment with company objectives. The GM will also play a key role in formulating and executing strategies to drive revenue growth, improve profitability, and enhance the company’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
o Develop and implement the company’s business strategy and vision, ensuring longterm sustainability and growth in the FMCG market.
o Lead and drive company-wide initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, profitability, and competitive positioning. o Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities.
o Ensure the company's overall strategic goals are aligned with industry trends, company vision, and operational performance.
2. Operational Management: o Oversee day-to-day operations across all business functions (sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, HR, etc.).
o Ensure smooth and efficient management of resources, budgets, and operational processes.
o Implement process improvements to enhance operational performance and cost effectiveness.
o Manage relationships with suppliers, distributors, and key stakeholders to ensure efficient product delivery and customer satisfaction.
3. Sales and Marketing Oversight:
o Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to drive market share, brand recognition, and revenue growth.
o Ensure that marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and brand initiatives are in line with market demands and consumer behavior.
o Provide guidance and leadership to the sales team to meet sales targets and expand distribution channels.
4. Financial Management:
o Oversee financial management, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring financial goals are met and profitability is maintained.
o Monitor P&L performance, ensuring that expenses are controlled, and revenue targets are achieved.
o Lead financial decision-making by providing analysis and insights into key financial metrics and business performance.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
o Lead and mentor a diverse team of managers and staff across various departments.
o Foster a collaborative and results-oriented company culture that encourages innovation and accountability.
o Implement training, development programs, and performance management processes to ensure team growth and high performance.
o Build and maintain an effective management team through recruitment, coaching, and performance reviews.
6. Customer and Market Focus:
o Develop a customer-focused approach to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.
o Maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
o Monitor industry trends and customer feedback to ensure product offerings meet market demands.
7. Compliance and Risk Management:
o Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.
o Implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company's assets, reputation, and operational stability.
8. Reporting and Analysis:
o Provide regular updates and reports to the CEO and board of directors on company performance, key initiatives, and industry developments.
o Analyze business data and market trends to make informed decisions and ensure the company's growth trajectory.
Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior management roles within the FMCG industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
3. Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the FMCG market, including trends, consumer behavior, and supply chain dynamics.
4. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage change, and drive business results.
5. Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, budgets, and forecasting.
6. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
7. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders.
8. Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making abilities with a focus on problem-solving and operational efficiency.
9. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of ERP and CRM systems.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM20,833.69 per month
