Job Title: Account Assistant Reports To: Finance Manager Job Summary: The Account Assistant is responsible for providing support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient and accurate financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Data Entry and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Enter invoices, receipts, and payments into the accounting system. Update and manage the general ledger. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments. Issue invoices to customers and follow up on payments. Reconcile customer and supplier accounts. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with company records. Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare financial reports, including expense summaries and profit and loss statements. Maintain proper documentation for audits and compliance purposes. Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and tax requirements. Assist with the preparation of tax filings (e.g., SST, income tax). Support Financial Audits: Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation and information. General Administrative Tasks: Handle filing, correspondence, and other administrative duties related to the finance department. Assist in ad hoc accounting and administrative projects as needed. Requirements: Education: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply. Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (APLUS) and MS Office, especially Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
