Service Engineer (IoT Hardware)

Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the installation of IoT hardware, including sensors, gateways, and data acquisition devices, ensure proper placement, connectivity, and environmental suitability for all hardware components. • Work on device integration, connecting sensors to controllers, gateways, and cloud platforms. • Ensure proper signal transmission and data flow within the IoT ecosystem to enable efficient operation and data collection. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IoT solutions with existing hardware equipment and software platforms. • Develop and implement automation control systems for agricultural processes, such as irrigation, nutrient delivery, and climate control, to optimize crop yield and resource efficiency. • Conduct field tests to ensure system reliability and performance, and refine solutions based on feedback and observed outcomes. • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including system designs, user manuals, and maintenance guides. • Provide ongoing support for deployed IoT devices, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary updates or improvements. Technical Skills: • Strong knowledge of hardware setup for IoT devices and sensors. • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting. • Familiarity with RS485 communication protocol for sensor and device integration. • Knowledge of sensor technologies and wireless communication systems (e.g., LoRa, Zigbee, NB-IoT). • Solid understanding of signal processing and network optimization. • Knowledge of programming embedded systems using microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, STM32, ESP32) will be an added advantage. • Experience with PLC programming for automation control systems is a plus. Additional Skills: • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Able to work independently under minimal supervision, organize and prioritize information/tasks. Requirements: • Candidate should be Malaysian citizens only. • Candidate possess at least Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. • Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak Mandarin and English. (As require liaise with Mandarin speaking clients due to work nature). • Experience in IoT system development, with a focus on applications in agriculture or related industries. • Experience in precision agriculture technologies and smart farming practices. • Understanding of agricultural processes and challenges. • Certifications in IoT, agriculture or related technologies. • This position is based in Junjung, Kulim
