- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Supervise and review the work of junior accountants.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing process.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
- Prepare tax filings and liaise with tax authorities.
- Manage audits and ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Provide financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Manage fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Coordinate weekly reporting to management regarding cash flow, cash balances, and loan balances.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or CPA certification preferred).
- Able to converse in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent Analytical, Organizational, and Problem-solving Skills.
- Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong Communication Skills, both Written and Verbal.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Working hours: 9am - 6pm
