Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare and manage ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
- Record all financial transactions promptly and accurately.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Compile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Budget Management
- Assist in developing and monitoring the association's budget.
- Track budget expenditures and report variances to the Treasurer.
- Help prepare budget forecasts and financial projections.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and follow-ups on outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Audit and Compliance
- Assist in preparation for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Maintain documentation and records for audit purposes.
Overview
- The Accounts Officer/Clerk will support the Treasurer of the sport association. This position is suitable for fresh graduates with an accounting background. IT offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in particular).
