Senior Building Structural Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Design and Analysis: Develop and review structural designs for various building projects, utilizing advanced engineering software and methodologies.  Project Management: Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and to the highest quality standards.  Collaboration: Liaise with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design conflicts and ensure project coherence.  Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and local staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.  Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to Malaysian building codes and regulations, conducting thorough reviews of engineering documentation.  Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and providing regular project updates.  Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure excellence in all engineering outputs.  Cultural Adaptation: Adapt to local customs and practices to effectively work within the Malaysian construction environment QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in building structural engineering, particularly in expatriate or international contexts.  Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent; familiarity with Malaysian regulations is a plus.  Technical Skills: Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS), AutoCAD, and BIM tools.
