Much like Roblox but targeted at later teens and adults, Youniverse combines life simulation, social interactions, multiplayer games, and metacommerce. Players can socialize, customize their avatars and living spaces, play and create games, and even earn money through creative in-game experiences. THE POSITION We are looking for talented Unity Game Developers who are passionate about crafting innovative, engaging, and scalable gaming experiences. You’ll work as part of a cross-functional team to build and optimize exciting features for the Youniverse platform. This is an opportunity to work on a platform that blends social interactions, metacommerce, and gaming into one groundbreaking experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and Optimize Games and Features: Design, prototype, and implement engaging multiplayer games and interactive experiences using Unity, Mirror networking, and other tools. - Performance Optimization: Ensure the platform runs smoothly on multiple devices, including PC, mobile, and console platforms. - UGC Integration: Collaborate to build systems that allow creators to design and sell in-game experiences, digital collectibles, and more. - Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with designers, artists, and other developers to align features with the Youniverse vision. - Debug and Troubleshoot: Identify and resolve technical issues across devices and builds (WebGL, iOS, Android, PC). - Networking and Multiplayer Development: Enhance our multiplayer features using Mirror or other networking solutions to ensure seamless social experiences. - Content Management: Implement and manage Unity Asset Bundles or Addressables for efficient content delivery. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Strong Unity Proficiency: Experience with Unity, including 3D game development and optimization. - Multiplayer Development: Hands-on experience with Mirror or other networking frameworks is a plus. - Programming Skills: Proficiency in C# and a strong grasp of object-oriented programming. - Problem-Solving Ability: A creative thinker who thrives in solving challenges in performance and user experience. - Mobile and Cross-Platform Development: Experience optimizing games for Android, iOS, and WebGL is a big advantage. - UGC or Tool Development Experience: Prior experience with UGC platforms or tools is a bonus. - Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. - Passion for Gaming and UGC: Enthusiasm for creating unique gaming experiences and an understanding of the evolving gaming landscape.
