Description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Specialist (People’s Partner) at a mid-level, who will act as a team lead to manage and oversee HR functions across Singapore, Malaysia, and new regional entities. This role is pivotal in ensuring HR operations, employee engagement, and organisational growth align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. HR Operations
    • Manage end-to-end HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, and offboarding.
    • Oversee payroll management, ensuring accuracy and compliance across regions.
    • Ensure compliance with both Malaysia and Singapore employment laws and regulations, as well as other applicable jurisdictions for new entities.
  2. Performance & KPI Management
    • Design and set up KPIs for employees, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
    • Conduct quarterly reviews on KPIs and balanced scorecards to evaluate and improve team and individual performance.
    • Collaborate with department heads to implement and monitor effective performance management systems.
  3. Employee Engagement & Welfare
    • Plan and execute quarterly team-building activities to enhance team cohesion and morale.
    • Lead the planning and management of the annual company trip, ensuring alignment with budget and company objectives.
    • Oversee all staff welfare-related initiatives, including benefits, wellness programmes, and employee satisfaction efforts.
    • Manage the quarterly and yearly Best Employee Award programme, including nominations, evaluations, and award presentations.
    • Conduct half-yearly Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) surveys to assess and enhance employee satisfaction and loyalty.
  4. Talent Development & Career Management
    • Plan and manage employee career paths, including career progression and skill development initiatives.
    • Collaborate with leadership and employees to execute and manage career development plans effectively.
    • Provide coaching and mentorship to employees, ensuring alignment between personal growth and organisational needs.
  5. Strategic HR Leadership
    • Partner with leadership to define and implement HR strategies that support business growth.
    • Lead the HR team in managing organisational changes, including workforce planning for new regional entities.
    • Provide insights and recommendations on talent development, succession planning, and workforce optimisation.
  6. Travel & Collaboration
    • Travel to Singapore at least once a quarter to meet stakeholders and ensure seamless HR operations across entities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support expansion into new markets.

Requirements

  • Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • At least 5 years of HR experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
    • Proven expertise in managing HR operations across multiple countries, especially Singapore and Malaysia.
    • Strong understanding and practical knowledge of Malaysia and Singapore employment laws and acts.
    • Experience in payroll management, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
    • Experience in KPI design/setup, performance management systems, and employee career path planning/execution.
    • Proven ability to plan and manage team-building activities, company trips, and staff welfare programmes.
    • Familiarity with conducting eNPS surveys and analysing feedback for organisational improvements.
    • Willingness to travel regionally as required (minimum quarterly travel to Singapore).
  • Preferred Skills
    • Experience with HR systems and tools.
    • Exposure to managing HR for tech or consulting organisations.
