What will you be doing?

  • Work closely with managers to complete specifically identified projects.

  • Present project conclusions to senior leadership.

  • Conduct time and motion studies, supporting master data maintenance and the creation of operator standard work.

  • Support operations with site layout planning and design.

  • Identify efficiencies in manufacturing processes and material flow to drive process improvement.

  • Apply basic lean principles to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities in manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

What will you need to be successful?

  • The internship role is open to undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline. Candidates must maintain excellent academic standing, with a 3.0 GPA preferred. The position is based in Batu Kawan, Penang, and prior experience in internships, part-time roles, or apprenticeships is an added advantage. Interns will gain hands-on experience, contribute to key projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project completion.

  • Ideal candidates should demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, effective teamwork, and leadership skills. Key competencies include technical writing, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to manage deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should be self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of assessing technical issues and developing solutions. Strong communication and project management skills are essential to successfully contribute to the internship.
