Description We are looking for a talented and motivated Mid-Level Level Designer to join our creative team in the gaming industry. In this role, you will build upon the foundations, focusing on creating engaging, immersive, and balanced gameplay experiences. You will take a proactive approach to design, ensuring that players remain immersed in the game world while navigating challenges and objectives. Key Accountabilities Level Designer will be measured according to the metric below, on a six (6) score rating scale: On time delivery of project deliverables . Outcome delivered as per project specifications Outcome delivered as per specifications consistently Time spent on an outcome is within project or budgeted mandays. Successful application of new skills on a project which resulted in: - New opportunities/upsell as a direct result of new capabilities - Improved efficiency (time spent is less than budget) - Improved quality Improved efficiency of existing skills, when comparing before/after completion time which resulted in: - Reduced frequency of repeat mistakes - Improved efficiency (time spent is less than budget) - Improved quality Key Competencies Level Designer will possess the following competencies: Beginner Level Unreal Engine Blueprint Scripting 3D Modelling Software Core Competency Architectural Knowledge Production Ready Unreal Engine Core Competency Unreal Engine Lighting Spatial Awareness Presentation Documentation Flow Diagramming Presentation Competency Focus Testing Competency Additional Skills Every Level Designer must also demonstrate at least one (1) additional competency at Production-ready proficiency, or two (2) additional competencies at beginner-level: Combat Design Other Game Engine Experience Modding Experience Game Dev Testing Unreal Engine Material Basic Knowledge Geographical Knowledge
