Job Description
The Supply Chain Initiatives Manager plans, directs and reviews all supply and logistics activities to ensure a cost-effective flow of finished goods from suppliers to customers for all categories. This role acts as a partner for R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales units to ensure on time and in full launch to markets of any product change, and with procurement on supplier optimization projects for relevant supply chain activities, including but not limited to compliance to GTIN, EAN, creation of transport lane, demand and forecast in SAP APO. Supply Chain Initiatives Manager also coordinate and support in phase-in, phase-out (PIPO) activities to drive for minimal write-off for the overall phase-in, phase-out process.
RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Enable the innovation calendar of the category, by delivering supply chain readiness of largest and/or most complex innovation and productivity projects.
- Responsible for leading the supply chain design and on-time delivery for new products and initiatives within a category, including footprint projects, delivering supply chain and logistics KPI’s on target around and after launch.
- Lead Manufacturing sourcing change projects
- Deliver portfolio rationalization for the Professional business unit
- Optimize portfolio by optimizing the product clusterization and aligning & enforcing hurdle rates for product changes.
- Participate to and lead improvement processes on behalf of the global Initiative Management Pillar in the SCOS program: determine key loss areas for SC readiness, develop standards & KPI’s, set-up pillar and deployment of standards
- Coach local SC in local projects delivery with high initiative losses
- Lead KPI improvement by development of standard and roll out. Examples are Phase In Phase out (KPI’s CSL and Obsoletes), CoMan Playbook (KPI’s ATO adherence and CSL), Pallet Aging (KPI Obsoletes)
Qualifications

Here's what we're looking for:
- Academic Program: Bachelor degree (preferably Masters degree) in Engineering, Sciences
- Experienced: A minimum of 8 years experience in FMCG, as manager in manufacturing or supply chain environment;
- Skillset: Excellent analytical skills and proven track record in building business cases (e.g. analyzing costs/volumes/stock levels/capacity) and defining multiple scenario’s;
- Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
