JOB SUMMARY
The candidate is responsible for overseeing health, safety and environmental policies and procedures at Hartasuma premises. The incumbent contributes to the review and development of health and safety guidelines and assists other team in understanding occupational health and safety hazards. The candidate plays a role in monitoring Hartasuma infrastructure and capital assets, and ensures the safety of all employees, visitors, and contractors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
1. Execute Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Management System in accordance to ISO 14001, ISO 45001, in accordance and compliance to Government Act, Rules, and Regulations.
2. Monitor and inspect workplace as well as equipment and take appropriate action to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Factories and Machinery Act (FMA), Environment Act and Food Act.
3. Perform regular workplace inspection and internal audit to ensure hazards are mitigated.
4. Establish and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions and checklists.
5. Conduct Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) with the respective departments and perform periodical review to stay current.
6. Carry out daily factory inspections and take necessary action to ensure compliance with DOSH Act.
7. Investigate all incidents related to dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, and any other occupational accidents/emergency situations at the workplace.
8. Promote OSH and HSE awareness by conducting training, induction and briefing programme to employees, visitors, and contractors.
9. Coordinate the HSE Committee and other activities, i.e., fire drill, fire extinguisher renewal, fire alarm system and other required exercise.
10. Liaise with DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, and/or relevant authorities for any related issues, especially licenses.
11. Any other related safety, health and environmental matter that are required by government and private authorities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, or Engineering, or any relevant fields in sciences.
2. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as HSE Officer/Executive.
3. Excellent command of both verbal and written English and Bahasa and ability to communicate with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
4. Must possess a valid Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Safety & Health Officer Green Book Certification.
5. Proficiency in the ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, Fire Service Act and other ESH legal requirements will be an added advantage.
6. Experience as first aider/ scaffolder or dealing with local authority will be an added advantage.
7. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
8. Able to work independently, dedicated, and self-motivated.
9. Experience in handling emergency issues at workplace.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: Up to RM6,000.00 per month
