Business Analyst

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying business requirements, documenting specifications, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure that solutions align with business goals. You will facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams, perform data analysis, and manage various project aspects, including risk management, governance, and testing. Your expertise in process modeling, problem-solving, and requirements analysis will be key to successful project delivery. You will also be involved in the Agile development process, managing the Product Backlog, and supporting the development and implementation of solutions.

Requirements:

• Years of Experience (YOE): 10+ years in business analysis, with a focus on requirements documentation, process improvement, and project management.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Technical Proficiency:
• Strong skills in SQL, MicroStrategy, or Tableau for data analysis.
• Familiarity with Agile tools (JIRA, Clarity, ADO Boards, Confluence).
• Knowledge of APIs, with experience in API mapping.
• Proficient in Visio and Enterprise Architect for process and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of Project Management methodologies such as Waterfall SDLC, Agile, and Scrum.
• Experience with requirements documentation such as BRDs, FSDs, User Stories, Test Strategies, and Process Flow Diagrams.

Domain Knowledge:

• Extensive experience working within the banking, financial services, or other enterprise-level sectors.
• Understanding of Project Governance standards, change management, and risk management within large-scale programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Requirements and Documentation:

• Develop and maintain key documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRD), User Stories, Functional Specification Documents (FSD), Business Glossary, and Data Models.
• Perform Gap Analysis, Problem Analysis, and prepare Business Cases to support decision-making.

Process and Data Modeling:

• Create 'As Is' and 'To Be' models using tools like Visio and Enterprise Architect to visualize business processes and data flows.

Stakeholder and Project Management:

• Work closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements, facilitate communication, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Manage and prioritize projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance across various teams.
• Maintain and manage the Product Backlog, defining user stories, sprint goals, and acceptance criteria for the development team.
• Participate in key events throughout the Agile development lifecycle such as daily scrums, sprint demos, UAT, and sign-off from business stakeholders.

Risk Management and Governance:

• Identify key risks and issues, escalate and manage them appropriately using project management tools (e.g., Clarity, ADO).
• Ensure adherence to governance standards and best practices, maintaining an organized requirements library and assisting teams to follow the new Way of Working (nWOW) standards.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure test cases provide adequate coverage.
• Review test evidence and reports to ensure quality and alignment with business requirements.
• Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring requirements are met before implementation.

Mentorship and Team Collaboration:

• Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to their professional growth by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Build strong working relationships across various levels of the organization, from junior staff to senior management

Pay: RM14,000.00 - RM17,000.00 per month
