Position Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities for the sales team. This role requires a strong ability to research prospective clients, initiate outbound communication, and qualify leads to ensure alignment with the company's products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation and Outreach
- Research and identify potential clients through various channels such as LinkedIn, industry directories, and other lead-generation platforms.
- Execute outbound prospecting activities, including cold calls, emails, and social media engagement, to connect with potential customers.
- Qualifying Leads
- Conduct initial conversations to understand the prospect’s business needs, pain points, and goals.
- Evaluate and qualify leads based on defined criteria to determine sales-readiness.
- Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Consistently meet or exceed key performance metrics, such as the number of qualified leads and scheduled appointments.
- Collaboration with Sales Teams
- Collaborate with Account Executives (AEs) to transition qualified leads effectively.
- Provide detailed notes and insights about prospects to the sales team for tailored follow-ups.
- Market Insights and Feedback
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Share insights and feedback with the marketing and sales teams to improve strategies and campaigns.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or related fields.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales engagement tools.
- Resilience and persistence in handling objections and rejections.
- A self-starter with a goal-oriented mindset and a passion for sales.
