Caregiver (Confinement Center)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver for our nursery at a confinement center. The caregiver will provide attentive, nurturing care to newborns and support new mothers during their postpartum recovery period. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, clean, and comforting environment for both mother and child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infant Care: Attend to the needs of newborns, including feeding, changing, bathing, and monitoring for any signs of discomfort or health issues.
- Support for New Mothers: Assist mothers with newborn care techniques, breastfeeding support, and postpartum recovery needs.
- Health and Safety Monitoring: Regularly check infants’ and mothers’ well being, identifying and reporting any health concerns to medical staff.
- Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and sanitized environment in the nursery, ensuring all items used for infant care meet health and safety standards.
- Emotional Support: Provide comfort and encouragement to mothers, understanding the challenges of postpartum recovery and caring for newborns.
- Documentation: Accurately record and update information on infant care routines and mother’s needs.
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary task
- Promote a good team working environment and opportunities for service improvement within the care team
Working Conditions:
- Shift-based schedule, including possible night shifts.
Qualifications and Skills
* Educational Background: Diploma/Degree in Nursing, with valid licensure.
* Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in maternity, pediatric, or general nursing preferred.
- Knowledge of breastfeeding techniques and infant care.
* Patience, compassion, and attentiveness to detail.
* Previous experience in infant care or nursery settings preferred.
* Basic understanding of postpartum care and newborn needs.
* CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
