- To supervise the activities of Room Attendant to ensure clean, attractive and well maintained guest room, hallway and service area according to set standards in order to achieve prompt and courteous service.
- Monitors the level of productivity of the Housekeeping staff in the corridors, guest lift landing and rooms.
- Allocates and assigns rooms and public areas for cleaning to the respective attendants.
- Inspects on a regular basis work being performed by the staff in the rooms and public areas.
- Checks on room assignment accordingly.
- Checks that all assigned areas to respective staff are cleaned according to the hotel standards on a daily basis.
- Maintains and supervises the standard of cleanliness in all rooms, public areas, administrative offices and back of the house effectively.
- Checks on all actual room status and inform Assistant Housekeeper on room discrepancy.
- Checks and monitors the Daily Room Status to ensure sufficient rooms for sale.
- Keeps the Out of Order rooms under control and to inspect the rooms daily.
- Arranges schedule for thorough cleaning of rooms during low occupancy.
- Ensures that Guest Laundry is handled properly and effectively.
- Assists in controlling the usage of guests’ supplies and chemicals for the cleaning process in the guest rooms and public areas.
- Ensures sufficient stocks of chemicals are maintained at all times for a smooth operation in the department.
- Ensures that all equipment is in good order, properly inventoried and recorded.
- Monitors all pest control services are carried out according to the hotel standards and specifications.
- Ensures that all equipment, keys and supplies are stored and locked properly at the end of the shift.
- Plans the monthly duty roster for the department, ensures that the duty rosters are communicated to the respective staff accordingly and to display the duty roster at the conspicuous place.
- Checks on staff attendance record and their movement while on duty daily.
- Checks on staff grooming and decorum standards.
- Prepares weekly attendance report for Executive Housekeeper’s endorsement before submitting to Personnel Department for payroll purposes.
- Investigates on staff complaints with assistance from Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Housekeeper.
- Conducts staff training program with the assistance from Assistant Housekeeper and Executive Housekeeper.
- Maintains staff disciplines and motivates them to have the right attitude towards their job.
- Evaluates staff performance periodically as part of the probation requirements, promotion and or annual assessment.
- Trains new staff and provide refresher training for senior staff continuously.
- To be able to work at different shifts as per the department requirement.
- Controls movements of all keys secured by concerned attendants.
- Assist and ensure that room's linen inventory has been carried out effectively.
- Maintains effective records of items missing from rooms and public areas or other discrepancies and the movements of housekeeping items or work procedures.
- Records all Lost & Found items found in guest rooms or public areas.
- Assists with answering the telephone call records and relay the messages effectively.
- Complies with all Personnel related administrative requirements and procedures relating to staff matters such as on application for vacation, medical and hospitalization and other benefit administration policies.
- Where applicable, make minor decisions effectively within the scope of authorized level of empowerment.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,400.00 per month
