Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Design & Planning:
- Develop, review, and approve detailed designs for M&E systems, ensuring compliance with high-rise project requirements and standards.
- Assist in the preparation and management of the M&E work schedule, aligning it with the overall project timeline and coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless integration.
- Coordination & Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the M&E team, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all M&E activities are coordinated effectively.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and the construction team to ensure the proper integration of M&E systems with structural and architectural elements.
- Site Supervision:
- Supervise the installation of all M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and elevators, ensuring that they are executed according to approved designs and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure that all work complies with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Testing, Commissioning & Quality Control:
- Oversee the testing and commissioning of M&E systems, ensuring they meet the required performance criteria and are ready for operation.
- Implement quality assurance and control procedures, promptly addressing any defects or non-conformities in the M&E works.
- Review and approve M&E shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions.
- Health & Safety:
- Ensure that all M&E works are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations, with a focus on safe working practices during installation and testing.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections, ensuring that all personnel are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all M&E activities, including daily progress reports, inspection reports, and change orders.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on the status of M&E works, highlighting any risks, issues, or delays that could impact the project timeline.
- Ensure that all as-built drawings and documentation for M&E systems are completed and handed over to the client at the end of the project.
- Problem Solving:
- Identify and resolve any technical or coordination issues related to M&E systems, working collaboratively with the project team to find effective solutions.
- Address any challenges that arise during installation, testing, or commissioning to ensure project quality and timelines are maintained.
- Mentorship & Training:
- Provide training and guidance to junior professionals and fresh graduates, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge in M&E engineering within the context of high-rise construction.
- Encourage junior team members to take on increasing levels of responsibility as they gain experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in M&E roles, with a focus on high-rise construction projects.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, particularly in high-rise construction.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to M&E works in high-rise construction.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
