Production/Factory Manager

Ensure all products are planned and manufactured in a safe and efficient manner, taking into consideration all relevant laws and regulations. Monitor and maintain waste levels at or below budget levels. Ensure that all records and reports are up to date and KPI data is accurate and timely. Ensure all production is made to specification and meets the customer’s quality expectations. Ensure that all quality requirements of local authorities are adhered to ISO, HACCP, GMP and or others accreditations are maintained and standards procedures are in place and monitored. Responsible for the daily management and review of all Direct and Indirect staff’s work performance. Ensure all staff receive the required training and development that will enable them to actively contribute to the ongoing development and profitability of the Mill. Ensure at all times the Health and Safety of staff and the protection of the Environment are paramount. Ensure that ALL staff are trained in Health and Safety procedures. Continuously look to identify and eliminate, minimize or isolate safety hazards on site. Ensure all internal and external standards are met or exceeded. All business activities are to comply with relevant laws, standards, company policy and ethics. All company assets are recorded and kept secure and protected. Stock takes completed and variances signed off and reported promptly. All engineering and safety directives enforced by the Group are fully complied with. Ensure all company’s mill are maintained to highest standards. Ensure preventive maintenance measures are in place for all process equipment Plant downtime due to breakdown is minimized. Ensure required spare parts are kept with optimum stock level. Ensure all production meets cost expectations and that Operational expenditure is within budget and correctly authorized. Ensure that annual budgets are prepared on time in accordance with the budgetary process. Ensure the movement in stock for Raw Materials, Finished Feed and PP bags are in control. Works closely with Nutritionist and other departments in any technical and R&D project. Ensure all plant requirements are in full compliance with all relevant local laws and regulations. Liaise with Sales Department on all order and delivery for customer. Ensure tailing is at minimum, controllable stock level and being used according to Nutritionist advise. Ensure the cleanliness and housekeeping of the factory being carried-out properly and orderly. Manage functions and activities in Production, Maintenance, Logistic and Security Departments in a timely, profitable and efficient manner.
