Retail Planner

The Space Planner will be fully involved in managing the existing shop plans and identifying opportunities to increase space performance across different markets.

Purpose:

• Creating macro space layouts for new shops and analysing existing performance to ensure each shop has the optimal category space to maximise the shop profitability.
• Working closely with Shop Format managers within markets to create and maintain shop plans and linking in the relevant planograms , Fixtures , Equipment to the store layouts.
• Analysing performance to optimize the range across the various sizes of Planogram and Shop Formats.
• Enable and ensure more data science driven Macro Space planning

Skills

Stakeholder Engagement Skills

• Working collaboratively across multiple sets of stakeholders – business SMEs, IT, Data teams, Analytics resources, etc. to deliver on project deliverables and tasks.
• Identify actionable insights that directly address challenges / opportunities.
• Articulate business insights and recommendations (based on model output) to respective stakeholders.
• Understanding business KPI's, frameworks and drivers for performance.
• Lead a team of highly motivated Space Planners.

Industry / Functional Expertise

• At least 5 years’ experience within the Retail industry, ideally within a Space Planning role o Ideally some experience with Micro Space planning (Space Man preferable).
• Component with CAD design software o Good analytical skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Competent with Excel & Word.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage a fluid workload.

Modeling and Technology Skills

• Strong experience in specialized analytics tools and technologies.
• Neilsen SpaceMan.
• Identify the right approach(es) for given scenario and articulate why the approach fits.
• Assess data availability and design feasibility.
• Review interpretation of design results.
• Evaluate fitment based on business / function scenario.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM8,500.00 - RM9,500.00 per month

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• retail space planning: 5 years (Preferred)
• AutoCAD design software: 5 years (Preferred)
