The role of the Teacher is to provide leadership, direction and co-ordination within matters relating to the educational and holistic needs of a student. The following are included in the powers and responsibilities of the Teacher.
1. Preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities
2. Marking work, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of students' progress and development
3. Maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devising and writing new curriculum materials
4. Selecting and using a range of different learning resources and equipment
5. Preparing students for competitions, qualifications and examinations
6. Managing student behaviour during lessons and other school activities, applying appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior
7. Assisting in drop-off and pick-up procedures
8. Undertaking pastoral duties and supporting students through academic or personal difficulties
9. Communicating with parents/guardians over students' progress and other school matters
10. Liaising with other professionals, schools and education associates
11. Participating in and organizing extracurricular activities, such as outings, social activities and sporting events
12. Participating in regular observations and in-service training as part of continuing professional development
13. Any other duties as assigned by the Management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
