Senior Exploration Geologist

Overview: Responsible for leading and managing mineral exploration projects. This role involves designing and implementing exploration programs, interpreting geological data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: 1. Exploration Planning and Management • Develop and implement exploration programs, including drilling, sampling, and geophysical surveys. • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient and effective exploration activities. • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for exploration projects. 2. Data Collection and Analysis • Collect, interpret, and analyze geological data, including rock samples, core logs, geochemical assays, and geophysical survey results. • Utilize geological software and modeling tools to create detailed geological maps and 3D models. • Identify and evaluate mineral targets based on geological, geochemical, and geophysical data. 3. Reporting and Documentation • Prepare detailed technical reports, including resource estimates, feasibility studies, and exploration summaries. • Ensure all exploration data and reports comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. • Maintain accurate and organized records of all exploration activities and data. 4. Collaboration and Communication • Work closely with other geologists, engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers to integrate exploration findings into broader project plans. • Communicate exploration results and project status to senior management and stakeholders through presentations and written reports. 5. Mentorship and Training • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior geologists and field staff. • Conduct training sessions on exploration techniques, safety protocols, and best practices. 6. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance • Ensure all exploration activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies. • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards. • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the exploration team.
