Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes (milling, turning, grinding, etc.) using CAD/CAM software. Set up CNC machines according to specifications and ensure proper alignment and calibration. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex issues with CNC machines, tooling, and processes, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency in production. Ensure CNC machines are properly calibrated and perform routine maintenance. Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and recommend improvements to enhance operational performance. Process Optimization: Continuously analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement in terms of speed, quality, and cost-efficiency. Implement and test new CNC techniques and technologies to improve production capabilities. Ensure that all parts produced meet the required quality standards by implementing inspection protocols and reviewing finished products. Develop and monitor quality control measures to minimize defects and rework. Provide technical support to machine operators, engineers, and production staff on CNC programming, operations, and troubleshooting. Conduct training sessions to improve skills and knowledge of CNC technology across the team. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to provide technical insights, optimize machine usage, and ensure project specifications are met. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation on CNC setups, machine performance, program changes, and troubleshooting steps. Provide regular reports on CNC operations and technical improvements. Prior experience as a CNC operator, programmer, or technician is essential. In-depth knowledge of CNC machines (milling, turning, etc.), tools, and equipment. Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code). Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360). Strong understanding of machining processes, tool selection, and material properties. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to identify issues with CNC machines and processes and implement effective solutions quickly to minimize production delays. Ability to focus on precise measurements and ensure the highest quality standards in production. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical staff and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
