Database Engineer

As a Database Administrator, you'll lead database development efforts by optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. You'll manage, maintain, and secure our databases, ensuring smooth operations and data integrity. Collaborating with teams, you'll design and implement solutions to meet organizational needs, ensuring database reliability, performance, and security. • Implement data validation, transformation, and migration processes. • To execute PL/SQL, a programming language for managing data stored in database. • Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS), such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL. • Able to perform data mapping between cross platform databases. • Able to extract and upload the data according to the database table. • Ability to monitor and troubleshoot database. • Monitor database performance and capacity, tuning parameters for optimal efficiency. • Responsible in deployment of applications to production servers. • Ensures that all deliverables are thoroughly documented • Any other duty & responsibility which the company may assign from time to time. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator in Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL environments. • Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and implementation. • Proficiency in SQL scripting and performance tuning across multiple database platforms. • Experience with database installation, configuration, and maintenance. • Familiarity with database security practices and data protection principles. • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve database issues. • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment. • Organizes own workload, sets priorities and works within deadlines. • Good to have knowledge on IBM DB2 database and IBM AS40.
