Job Description


Reporting to the HR Director, you will be a key member of the HR People Partner functions. You will work with the HR Experts and the HR Shared Services team to drive key HR initiatives to meet the needs of the Business.

Your key customers will be the Indirect Labour workforce associates, and all the functional leaders from various departments relating to R&D, Manufacturing, Technical and Commercial functions. You will spearhead People Strategies for all Indirect Labour workforce including People Development, Talent & Succession Planning, Engagement & Retention, Associates’ Welfare, Discipline and Grievances.

  • Partner with responsible departments in understanding and supporting their strategic and operational requirements.
  • Drive changes proactively, build trust and confidence with stakeholders and is the single point of contact for local HR core processes up to BU level.
  • Local implementation and realization of all HR management and core processes across the HR value chain (except recruiting).
  • Strengthen collaboration across locations and support of international business teams.
  • Maintain and enhance Company’s human resources by designing, implementing and evaluating employee relations and HR policies, programs and practices.
  • Provide sound guidance, professional support and advisory to managers and employees in performance management, career development and succession planning discussions and is a sparring partner for talent development or diagnostic related issues.
  • Drive (cultural) change in area of responsibility.
  • Uphold Company’s interest and liability in all employment related legal proceedings and industrial disputes.
  • Implement, monitor and review Company’s performance management and reward system. Ensure benefits package are competitive and internal pay structure remains fair, equitable and consistent with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations and local HR requirements.

Qualifications
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Language or Linguistics or its equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience as HR Generalist or as HR Consultant with the ability to influence effectively through excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Strong knowledge in Labour Laws, current legislation and its application.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, literacy in MS Office applications and HR-SAP exposure is preferred.
  • Knowledge and exposure in compensation and benefits administration, analyzing of HR reports and working experience in unionized environment will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Thrives on a busy, changing and demanding workload within a fast paced environment.
