Job Opportunity: Inspector of Works (Mechanical) - URGENT HIRING
Location: Pulau Indah, Klang, Malaysia
Experience: Minimum 5 years
Qualification: Sijil / Diploma in Mechanical
We are seeking an experienced Inspector of Work to join our team at our site in Pulau Indah, Klang. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing all mechanical engineering aspects of the project on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
a. Inspection & Monitoring
- Conduct regular on-site inspections of M&E installations, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services.
- Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Verify installation alignment with approved design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
b. Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all works adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards (e.g., ISO, ASHRAE, IEC, NFPA, or local standards).
- Verify contractor adherence to method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) protocols.
c. Testing & Commissioning
- Witness and document testing and commissioning of M&E systems.
- Verify proper functioning of systems before project handover.
d. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress and inspection reports.
- Document any non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain a log of all inspections, test results, and correspondence.
e. Coordination
- Collaborate with project engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues on-site.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical input as required.
f. Safety Oversight
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
- Report unsafe practices and conditions to the site supervisor or safety officer.
Requirements:
· A Diploma / Sijil in Mechanical Engineering.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong focus on site management and project execution.
· Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements.
