About the Role

In line with established policies and procedures and under instructions/controls of management, to plan, organise and control general accounting operations and to control/analyse balance sheets/profit and loss accounts to ensure accuracy of accounting records and compliance with internal procedures and accounting rules. To review work performed by less senior accountants

What to expect?

• Monitor, coordinate and supervise Accounts Payable (AP) team to ensure achievement of departmental objectives. The key areas of AP are Invoice Processing (IP) and Travel and Expense (T&E)

• Maintain sound control environment for all AP processes, supporting both internal and external audits, where applicable.

• Identify opportunities for process and internal control improvements and propose and/or control implementations of solutions. May also participate in and/or lead projects within the department.

• Recommend, develop and ensure implementation of specific analysis/activities where appropriate to support business decisions, example: KPI dashboards, process improvement initiatives, working capital, etc.

• Organize contacts with management and evaluate impact of evolutions/changes on the requirements for financial activities.

• Propose and ensure implementation of improved accounting/reporting tools and processes and participate in departmental improvement projects.

• Under supervision of senior management, implement and maintain HR policies/procedures. As a people manager, hire, motivate and develop team members, define priorities and objectives, follow-up progress and achievements in order to have qualified, competent and motivated employees.

What will make you successful?

• Finance Shared Services

• At least 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable within the GBS/SSC environment, of which at least 2 of those are in a supervisory position.

• Degree in Accounting and Finance
