About the Role
In line with established policies and procedures and under instructions/controls of management, to plan, organise and control general accounting operations and to control/analyse balance sheets/profit and loss accounts to ensure accuracy of accounting records and compliance with internal procedures and accounting rules. To review work performed by less senior accountantsWhat to expect?
Monitor, coordinate and supervise Accounts Payable (AP) team to ensure achievement of departmental objectives. The key areas of AP are Invoice Processing (IP) and Travel and Expense (T&E)
Maintain sound control environment for all AP processes, supporting both internal and external audits, where applicable.
Identify opportunities for process and internal control improvements and propose and/or control implementations of solutions. May also participate in and/or lead projects within the department.
Recommend, develop and ensure implementation of specific analysis/activities where appropriate to support business decisions, example: KPI dashboards, process improvement initiatives, working capital, etc.
Organize contacts with management and evaluate impact of evolutions/changes on the requirements for financial activities.
Propose and ensure implementation of improved accounting/reporting tools and processes and participate in departmental improvement projects.
Under supervision of senior management, implement and maintain HR policies/procedures. As a people manager, hire, motivate and develop team members, define priorities and objectives, follow-up progress and achievements in order to have qualified, competent and motivated employees.
What will make you successful?
Finance Shared Services
At least 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable within the GBS/SSC environment, of which at least 2 of those are in a supervisory position.
