Operation Manager
- Oversee the logistical aspects of auction events, including venue preparation, setting up auction lots, and ensuring items are displayed correctly.
- Coordinate the timing of events, including preview days, auction day, and post-auction procedures.
- Ensure smooth operations during live auctions, including managing staff, auctioneers, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Supervise consignment intake, ensuring items are cataloged, photographed, and described accurately for auction.
- Oversee stock management, including the receipt, storage, packing, and shipping of consignments.
- Lead a team of administrative and operational staff, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to handle auction processes.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and overseeing service delivery.
- Prepare and manage budgets for auction events, ensuring costs are within established limits.
- Work directly with high-value clients and consignors, managing inquiries, providing assistance, and ensuring excellent client relations.
- Source new consignments by building relationships with consignors, conducting outreach, and identifying market opportunities.
- Manage auction software systems and technology infrastructure for online bidding, live-streaming, and tracking client bids.
- Oversee the post-auction settlement process, ensuring payment collection and the return or shipping of unsold items.
