Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to support the finance team in managing daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will assist with financial record-keeping, reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Maintenance:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and data entry.
  • Update and reconcile ledgers, invoices, and accounts.
  • Process receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.

2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Manage and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
  • Verify, allocate, and post transactions in the accounting system.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and invoices.

3. Bank Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.

4. Administrative Support:

  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with audits and ensure proper filing of financial documents.

5. Compliance and Accuracy:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an accounts assistant or similar role (preferred).
  • Proficiency in accounting software which is SQL and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,900.00 per month
