RESPONSIBILITIES · Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces. · Mix and apply paints, primers, and coatings according to manufacturer specifications. · Painting - Ensuring even coverage and adherence to quality standards · Operate spray guns and other painting equipment effectively and safely. · Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and apply touch-ups as necessary. · Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and environmental regulations. · Mix and spray paint and primer per work instructions · Maintain and clean painting equipment, including spray guns and booths · Follow safety procedures and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper ventilation practices. · Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely. · Keep accurate records of materials used and work performed. · Management of the collection, disposal, and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes · Work closely with other team members, including body repair technicians, to ensure timely and efficient workflow. -Adheres to all Company Policy & Procedures and Department Procedures. -Completes all assignments in a timely manner. -Meets production schedules for delivery requirements. -Responsible to ensure all work and paperwork is accounted to the proper router or work order. -Responsible for maintaining paint booth and mixing area organized. -Maintain inventory of supplies. -Performs visual inspection of all material prior to painting. -Checks quality of paints and thinners. -Operates baking oven and monitors temperature and bake cycle times. • Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor to achieve department objective
