Safety Relief Engineer

Currently, we have an opportunity for an experienced Safety Relief Engineer to join our Safety Relief department. The role is based in Menara ExxonMobil, Kuala Lumpur. What you will do If successful, you will be part of the Safety Relief department, ExxonMobil Pressure Relief and Flare Center of Excellence. You will contribute to the protection of our coworkers, communities and environment by finding and mitigating overpressure risks in an open, innovative and collaborative environment with high quality, capital efficient safety relief review analyses. We are looking for an experienced individual who will play a key role in the technical design decisions we take. Key deliverables include: o Conduct relief system analysis including safety relief reviews, flare studies, sustainment and change management activities that involve pressure safety valves (PSVs), pressure vacuum valves (PVVs) and blowdown system o Participates in producing global capital project development deliverables with regard to relief system design through various project stages o Oversee and validate the technical integrity of on-site safety relief assessments. o Design effective and cost-efficient mitigation strategies to enhance safety and manage risk associated with Safety Relief findings. o Collaborate closely with other disciplines, partners and contractors on projects and manufacturing sites/assets support. o Identify and develop opportunities to improve work processes, practices and tools. About you Skills and Qualifications Eligibility requirements o Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering specialty and relevant industry experience o 5 years minimum experience in Process Design or Safety Relief o Knowledgeable/familiar with the codes / standards such as API 520, API 521, API 526, API 2000, ASME Sec 8 o Experience in performing overpressure/flare analysis o Hands on experience with Pro II, HYSYS or other process simulation tools o Be able to demonstrate the following: o Strong communication and interpersonal skills o Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers o Innovative and analytical thinking o Intellectual rigor, strong drive, and desire to lead change o Ability to work in a multi-cultural global team Preference will be given to those with the following additional skills / abilities: o Ability to manage workload under time pressure and changing priorities o Working knowledge of data infrastructure, pipelines, and data integration processes to understand data access issues o An appreciation of data science and machine learning applications and the related data requirements) For more details, please visit the link provided below and submit your application online: https://jobs.exxonmobil.com/ExxonMobil/job/Kuala-Lumpur-Safety-Relief-Engineer-14/1239205800/
