Technician Chemical II [V285]

Location – Melaka Refinery • Role Summary As an Chemical Technician, you will provide routine and ad-hoc requirement for specialty studies include flow assurance and production chemistry related study. You will provide services to manage, maintain, and inspect chemical tanks, frame, pumps, and chemical containers. Essential Responsibilities • Perform onsite sampling & analysis at the refinery laboratory. • Provides troubleshooting, consultation and technical support to internally & externally. • Prepare reporting. • Providing troubleshooting and technical support to offshore production chemical application, field trial, and bottle testing. • Suggesting improvements in products, processes and procedures. • Working together with people from the business unit. • Standardizing project coordination with internal assembly and customers. • Working on the basis of predefined contracts and frameworks with some latitude to deviate from those conditions. Qualifications/Requirements • Have a minimum of Diploma or Bachelors in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, or equivalent • Demonstrate good experience (at least 3 years of experience) in Downstream Chemicals Application Management experience. • Have direct experience in Oil & Gas industry. • Have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to influence others • Have an in-depth knowledge of process optimization and production chemistry preferably in downstream process chemicals. • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with internal customers and suppliers • Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solving problems and providing resolutions • Demonstrate computer skills and be familiar with MS Office, PowerPoint and need to be able to understand client’s Production Software Desired Characteristics • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently.
