Full Stack Developer cum Instructor

The role provides technical leadership to the web team at Forward School, specifically focused on planning & architecting, guiding the design, developing/coding solutions for Forward School’s Learning Portal and Virtual Experience Program. Both frontend (with modern frontend frameworks such React) and backend technical skills are mandatory (experience with Java,, HTML, CSS, Git, PHP, SQL, REST), with expert proficiency in JavaScript. This role also requests talented technical curriculum developer who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a strong instructional design and content development background to help drive the creation of course content for new programs. As a member of the Instructional Design team you will be responsible for designing, developing, and analyzing high quality, interactive learning materials for our learners. This role will also find innovative ways to enhance and optimize Forward School’s autonomous and blended learning experiences through technology-driven content production that scales. Highly skilled computer programmer who is comfortable with both front and back end programming Design, implement, test and maintain system components: UI, application, data, infrastructure, analytics, and deployment Design and build systems with automated instrumentation and monitoring Consistently improve maintainability and stability of the codebase Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues Mentor junior engineers and students Guide students through an intentional, learning journey towards becoming work-ready, in-demand students with advanced critical thinking abilities. Make use of our curriculum and adapt it in your teaching, crafting your own lesson plans as needed and contributing your experience to it. Work closely with our Head of Faculty and Student Success team to provide students with meaningful and prompt feedback on their progress.
