Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on utility and facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity in manufacturing processes.
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and validation of new equipment, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify and address potential issues before they result in downtime or failures.
- Adhere to preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, ensuring timely service and maintenance of critical machinery.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment-related issues and support process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in all maintenance and production areas.
- Assist with facility maintenance tasks, including plumbing, HVAC systems, lighting, and general repairs as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and efficiency of equipment and processes.
- Ability to respond to emergency outside office hours.
Basic Qualifications
- Diploma or SKM in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or related roles in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with hands-on experience repairing a variety of manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, HVAC systems, and control systems.
- Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools for maintenance and repair activities.
- Familiarity with tracking maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and practices, including experience following maintenance schedules.
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance, with familiarity in safety standards such as lockout/tagout (LOTO) and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Characteristics
- Experience in the life sciences, medical devices, or diagnostics manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of cleanroom environments and maintenance of cleanroom equipment and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles for continuous improvement in maintenance processes.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated systems.
