SENIOR GENERAL INSPECTOR

A) Qualification i. Minimum SPM or equivalent academic qualification. ii. Hold the following certificates which shall be kept current and valid at all times: a) CSWIP 3.2 / PCN Senior Welding Inspector, Level 3.2 certification b) API 570 or API 510 c) NACE Level II / IMM Certified Coating Inspector or equivalent d) PCN/CSWIP/JPK/ASNT/ACCP Level II or equivalent for UT, MT & PT or equivalent and minimum FIVE (5) years’ appropriate experience in the oil and gas industry including offshore/onshore site experience, OR; a) CSWIP / PCN Welding Inspector, Level 3.1 certification b) API 570 or API 510 c) NACE Level II / IMM Certified Coating Inspector or equivalent d) PCN/CSWIP/JPK/ASNT/ACCP Level II or equivalent for UT, MT & PT or equivalent and minimum TEN (10) years’ appropriate experience in the oil and gas industry including offshore/onshore site experience B) Experience : - i. Be conversant in inspection and maintenance philosophy. ii. Be conversant with non-destructive testing NDT methods, applications and limitations. iii. Be familiar in painting inspection and familiar with blast cleaning and the application of paint/coating by conventional and airless spray techniques. iv. Be able to read and interpret on engineering drawings. v. Be fully conversant with mechanical catalogues, general arrangement (GA), P&ID and other related drawings for the mechanical and piping equipment and installation. vi. Be able to review, comment and approve inspection reports prepared by inspectors. vii. Be able to review, comment and approve welding procedures (WPS). viii. Be able to review inspection procedures submitted by contractors and prepare in-house inspection procedures ix. Have a sound knowledge of International Standards and codes relating to oil and gas industry, structure, pipelines, pressure vessels and process facilities
