• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly schedules for balance sheet items and periodic financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Financial Oversight: Ensure accounting classifications, bills, and invoices are complete and accurate, maintaining high standards of financial integrity. • Team Leadership: Guide and supervise team members in double-entry bookkeeping and daily support tasks, fostering a collaborative work environment. • Payment Management: Coordinate monthly payments to subcontractors, vendors, and staff claims, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements. • Cost Allocation: Expertly assign expenses to appropriate cost centers, contributing to effective financial management and reporting. • Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly, annual, and periodic financial statements and reports, providing valuable insights for decision-making. • Audit Support: Prepare annual audit accounts and schedules, liaising with auditors, tax agents, and bankers. • Perform bookkeeping and accounting entries, including accruals and adjustments. • Prepare accounts on a timely basis for weekly, month-end, and financial year-end closings, along with aging reports and listings. • Review and ensure the accuracy of accounting reports and deliverables prepared by junior staff, when necessary. • Support the team lead in planning efforts and supervise junior staff to maintain efficiency • Independently manage accounting and management reports, ensuring deadlines are met with minimal supervision. • Submit accounting reports and deliverables within agreed timelines. • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, monitor unusual items, investigate discrepancies, and manage movements. • Handle additional ad hoc tasks as assigned. • To ensure timely processing of daily payments and maintain them accurately in an accounting system; • To ensure timely sales & banks reconciliation and maintain them accurately in an accounting system. Required • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent. • At least 3 years of working experience in related field will be added advantage. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Proactive communication style and team-oriented mindset. • Experience with accounting systems. • Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and compliance requirements. • Experience with system implementation projects in a manufacturing environment. • Ability to identify and highlight financial/operational improvements. • Able to start work immediately will be considered.
