RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the day-to-day operation and position all shipments in the hub/ distribution center operation to ensure on-time service. Reduce total company schedules and empty miles to reduce costs without compromising service; suggest network design changes to improve hub operation flow productivity. Assist and supervise all activity relating to hub/ distribution center and reship operations within your assigned area to ensure cost-effective use of company assets and that all employees are adhering to company policies and procedures. Monitor schedules within your area of responsibility to verify load factor and utility of equipment. Communicate problems up the chain of command until the problem is resolved. Provide leadership with the direction necessary to improve the accuracy and timeliness of linehaul projections. Concentrate on the fundamentals of service, quality, administrative compliance, and communication. Assist in renewal of road tax and insurance of vehicles. Responsible for updating HQ operation on Linehaul matters. Any ad-hoc task which is required by the management. Education and Experience Min a Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain studies or equivalent. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the same field or related experience in logistics or express industry. Familiar with hub / distribution center operation from managing staff to all aspects in operation. Familiar with China trade of import and export activities. Skills and Competencies (E.g : PC/Software Applications,Language, Personal Characteristics or Behaviors) Proficient in both verbal and written in English and Mandarin as system is in Mandarin and required to deal with Mandarin speaking colleagues from HQ.
