Job description Primary Roles & Responsibilities: 1. To work with the Radiologist for smooth running of the Radiology Department. 2. To work as a member of the Healthcare Team rendering Quality Imaging work and Patient Care within the Radiology Department. 3. To carry out orders in conformance with standardised techniques and procedures. 4. To be aware of legal implications, charts, and accuracy. 5. To maintain radiation safety of patients and others under his/her care at all times. 6. To take responsibility of the departmental functions in the absence of the Radiologist. 7. Represent Radiology Department in monthly meeting with Management. Secondary Roles & Responsibilities : 1. To assist the Radiologist in the smooth running of the department and to ensure all equipment available is in good condition. 2. To check all cases for procedures and confirm cases. 3. To perform general and special imaging work in the department, ward, operating theatre and other destination, as his/her service may required. 4. Responsible for maintaining radiation protection to the patient and others all the times. 5. To assist with positioning and lifting of patients on to the examination couch and to the wheelchair. 6. To attend to emergency call and perform on-call duties. 7. Aware of cross infection. Practices safety precautions to prevent cross infection. 8. To liaise with receptionist or superior to ascertain accurate charges for correct examination. 9. To ensure records are accurately kept in department. 10. To consistently acquires technical and radiographic skills. 11. To render good customer service to both patient and staff. 12. To participate in continuous quality improvement activities of the unit and hospital. 13. To demonstrate safe work practices and involve in safety, health and emergency training and activities. 14. To ensure own professional development by attending and participating in meeting, training, etc, conducted by department and hospital. 15. To comply with statutory and regulatory obligations i.e. infection control, hazardous materials, safe handling/disposal of waste, IPSG and accreditation. Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Radiography Registered with MAHPC. Experience : Preferably 5 years of working experience in related field. Skills : Preferably with Radiography knowledge. Goof interpersonal and communications skills.
