Process Chemist

JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Process Chemist Production Chemistry is the technical authority on the use of chemicals in the production system, including the well. Production Chemistry sits on the boundaries of development, wells and production functions – representing production’s interests to the other disciplines. It aspires to be the integrator for delivering wells and production. Typically: • Discipline activities concentrate on non-standard topics (guided by procedures or multiple precedents). • Works as an autonomous Production Chemist, translates the guidelines and standards into practice and solves common technical challenges. Works within company standards and policies under defined directions while receiving occasional guidance on techniques. • Own contribution forms part of a multi-disciplinary team - focussed on integrating own discipline into the work of others. • Performs the specified tasks within relevant Production Chemistry discipline. • Manages the relation with multiple (groups of) internal and external stakeholders on tactical level. Scale and severity of consequences if things go wrong are limited, involving some stakeholder management. • May have no budget accountability or be accountable for a budget.
