Mission/Purpose of the Job

• To achieve Retail Sales Target and Fleet Sales Target.

• To ensure healthy stock inventories and customers pipeline management

• To support subordinates in negotiation on sales closing

• Commercial Crew team leader

• Coordinate with sales executive on invoicing and delivery.

• Collection of Account Receivable (AR) within stipulated timing

• To achieve good Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and manage customer complaints in Customer Relation Management (CRM) system

• To advocate on sustainability products for future business

• To work closely with product, marketing, logistics, service market, Volvo Financial Services (VFS) and finance team in order to achieve various KPIs including soft products

• To work, to guide and to lead private dealer to achieve the KPIs based on Volvo way of doing business

• To achieve used trucks sales target and ensure healthy used trucks stocks pipeline.

• To prepare and execute strategic sales planning including individual sales targets, sales packages, promotions etc.

• To work with financing partners to provide financing solutions to support sales achievement including negotiation with financing partners, report monitoring etc.

• People development – to ensure the subordinates are trained for products and technical knowledge, to train the subordinates on sales processes and delivery of customers satisfaction

• People development – succession planning of sales team to ensure sales target are met

• To understand the current market segmentation, competitors and outlook of the business and to craft and execute sales strategies to achieve sales target

Total operations and interface with Volvo Group units and suppliers, domestic, regional or global responsibility.

Influence

Authority in accordance with the financial rules and policies defined by Volvo Malaysia and AB Volvo.

Key responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Responsible for day-to-day Retail and Fleet Truck Sales for Hub Malaysia.

• Responsible to turn around the stock holding within VTI’s target.

• Manage and coach Sales team in order to drive performance and achieve sales target.

• To establish strong and trusting long-term relationships and cultivate new business opportunities with key customers, regulators, vendors and industry partners.

• Responsible for preparing and forecast sales for E3, E5, E9 and E11

• To coordinate with sales team to meet delivery timeline and achieve monthly target invoicing and zero (0) stock aging

• To achieve monthly VFS/local financiers sales and service agreement penetration rates

• Need to coordinate with Sales team and various market functions to secure Key account to win more sales and market share as a Commercial Crew leader

• Responsible for all AR collection within time frame

• Customer engagement – Building, securing customer relationship and manage customer complaint related to sales

• To participate and contribute on any adhoc projects that are assigned by VP-VSLM accordingly

• To work closely with various stakeholders to reduce time from post Green OK (GOK) from assembly plant to customer delivery in the end -to-end process

• To ensure compliance of Volvo Trucks Sales Process within the sales team in order to reduce the non-compliance matters during audit

• To plan, strategize and manage selling expenses of the products in order to achieve targeted price realizations and contribution margins

• To encourage and ensure utilization of all sales related and customer management systems, including embracing any new digitalization way of working.

• To lead and work closely with various stakeholders to craft and design new technology for sales process

• To lead private dealer in achieving sales targets for hard and soft products.

Key Targets & Results

• To achieve monthly and yearly retail, fleet and dealer's sales target.

• To meet stock ageing target (new and used)

• To achieve Zero AR in Truck Sales (new and used)

• To achieve and improve CSI for sales.

• Customer satisfaction on technical support both internal and external

• To submit monthly Sales Report to VP.

• Consistent reporting of sales activities in CM and other sales systems.

• To achieve VFS/financing and Service Agreement, Volvo Connect penetration rates

Education

Hold a university degree in similar field

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

• Minimum 10 years of sales experience in automotive industry.

• Has in-depth knowledge in commercial vehicle products.

• Has in depth knowledge in local published standards, regulations, policies and sales process.
