Purpose
This role transforms requirements into software according to design, to maximize business value and customer satisfaction.
This position is required to lead, design, implement, integrate, develop and deliver complex system, sub-system or interfaces during development life cycle. It needs to meet on time, on cost and quality delivery.
Key Missions
• Contribute to Software architecture (specification analysis, technical studies, technology assessment, etc.),
• Perform design & code reviews and assess software performance optimization
• Contribute and promote IDEMIA technical governance
• Produce quotations, Perform complex troubleshooting
• Coach, mentor and manage a small team of Software Development Engineers
• Lead and participate in the development and coding of large and complex modules within agreed quality, deadline and cost
• Uses programming, scripting, and/or database languages to write software code that meet requirements and that optimize software performance
• Identifies existing software components/libraries/frameworks to reuse in the solutions
• Applies knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, secure coding, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations,
• Contributes to requirement (functional and non-functional) analysis and estimations,
• Responsible for implementation and unit test for sub-system or interfaces, and ensure code quality;
• Supports software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements,
• Builds up software structure including functions, design patterns, layers, etc.,
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing code comments, layouts, diagrams and charts
• Apply best practices, compliance policy in software development;
• Strive for continuous improvement in terms of process, quality and efficiency;
• Will be assigned to work on product development and delivery of projects
• Other duties as assigned
Profile description: Profile & Other Information
Experience & background:
• At least 12 years’ experience in object-oriented and agile software development;
• Experience in writing Design Documentation, Object-Oriented Software Design;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Education:
• Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering / Computer Science or a relevant discipline;
Technical Skills
• Knowledge in programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, JSON, Angular, etc.) and frameworks (Java EE, Hibernate, Spring/Springboot)
• Ideally candidate should be familiar with open source technologies like Kubernetes, Kafka, Docker, Drools, Elasticstack etc
• Experience in Linux and Windows environment and scripting will be an added advantage
• Hands-on different development, automation, build and test environments (VScode, Jenkins, etc.),
• Knowledge on DevSecOps process and different tools (Jira, Testlink, GIT, etc.),
• Strong understanding of software lifecycle (agile, waterfall, etc.),
• Knowledge of security and database,
• UI/UX awareness
Competencies / soft skills:
• English fluent in both oral and written;
• Self-motivated, independent and a good team player
• Able to work under pressure
• Innovative mindset and think-out-of-the-box
