Reports To: GENERAL MANAGER and HR MANAGER JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a Senior Human Resource Executive to manage and coordinate the HR functions of our fine-dining Japanese restaurant, ensuring smooth operations across recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and compliance with local employment laws. This position requires someone passionate about managing talent, ensuring a harmonious work environment, and supporting the growth of the restaurant team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to) A) Recruitment & Staffing: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes (job posting, screening, interviewing, hiring). Collaborate with restaurant management to identify staffing needs for service and kitchen crews. Onboard new employees. B) Employee Relations & Welfare: Organize staff engagement activities. Manage disciplinary actions, warnings, and counseling sessions when necessary. C) Payroll & Compensation: Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate salary payouts. Handle overtime, allowances, and incentive payout D) Compliance & Documentation: Maintain and update employee records (attendance, leave and contracts). Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB & HRDF contributions). E) Training & Development: Identify training needs and arrange internal or external training sessions. Work with department heads to create skill development plans for employees. F) Health & Safety: Ensure a safe and compliant working environment, coordinating with management on health and safety protocols. Ad-hoc : To perform any duties that may be assigned from time to time. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Diploma in Human Resources or a related field. Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in the F&B or hospitality industry. Skills: Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is a plus). Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Familiar with Worksy payroll system is an added advantage. Knowledge of Malaysian employment laws. Personality: Strong interpersonal skills, organized, and able to work independently.
