WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You will be based in Pusat Rehabilitasi PERKESO Perak working closely with F&B Team WHAT YOU’LL DO "1. Operations Management: • Oversee the daily operations of the food and beverage department, including meal preparation, service, and cleanliness. • Ensure that all meals are prepared and served according to the established standards, dietary requirements, and patient preferences. • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for kitchen and dining operations to maintain consistency and quality. 2. Menu Planning and Nutrition: • Collaborate with dietitians and nutritionists to create balanced and nutritious meal plans that meet the dietary needs of patients. • Design menus that are appealing, varied, and in line with the rehabilitation centre’s nutritional guidelines. • Monitor and adjust menus based on patient feedback, seasonal availability, and nutritional goals. 3. Team Leadership: • Manage and lead the food and beverage team, including chefs, kitchen staff, and dining personnel. • Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of service and food quality. • Schedule staff shifts and manage workloads to ensure efficient operation of the department. 4. Budget and Cost Control: • Develop and manage the food and beverage budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality standards. • Monitor inventory levels, control food and beverage costs, and minimize waste. • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices for ingredients and supplies without compromising quality. 5. Health and Safety Compliance: • Ensure that all food and beverage operations comply with local health and safety regulations, including food handling, storage, and sanitation practices. • Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen, dining areas, and storage facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety. • Implement and monitor safety protocols to prevent foodborne illnesses and accidents in the kitchen. 6. Customer Service: • Maintain a high level of customer service by ensuring that meals are served on time, meet dietary needs, and are presented attractively. • Address and resolve any complaints or concerns regarding food and beverage services from patients, staff, or visitors. • Foster a positive dining experience by ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment in dining areas. 7. Procurement and Inventory Management: • Oversee the purchasing of food, beverages, and kitchen supplies, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. • Manage inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary items are in stock while avoiding overstocking or shortages. • Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and usage. 8. Event Planning and Catering: • Coordinate food and beverage services for special events, meetings, and celebrations within the rehabilitation centre. • Work with other departments to plan menus and ensure smooth execution of catering services for events. 9. Continuous Improvement: • Stay up-to-date with food and beverage trends, dietary guidelines, and culinary techniques to continually improve the quality and variety of meals offered. • Implement feedback from patients, staff, and management to enhance food and beverage services. 10. Other Duties As Assigned: • Perform any other duty as deemed necessary by the employer." REQUIRED QUALITIES: Candidate must possess at least Diploma in food management or relevant Good Interpersonal, Good communication skill, Computer Literate. Ability to organize and prioritize work Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English Proven experience in food handling or a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong leadership and team management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively. MINIMUM BASIC SALARY RM3200
