CRANE OPERATOR

Key Responsibilities: 1) Crane Operations: - Operate quay cranes, gantry cranes, and mobile cranes to move cargo and containers. - Maneuver cranes to precisely position loads in designated areas on ships, trucks, or storage zones. 2)Cargo Handling: - Ensure proper lifting techniques and equipment are used for different types of cargo. - Monitor the weight and balance of loads to prevent accidents or damage. 3) Safety Compliance: - Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations. - Perform pre-operational checks and regular maintenance inspections of cranes. - Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or potential hazards. 4) Coordination: - Communicate effectively with ground personnel, stevedores, and supervisors using radios or other communication tools. - Work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely operations and prevent delays. 5) Documentation: - Record operational data, including load information and maintenance logs. - Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and report any discrepancies. 6) Maintenance Support: - Assist in minor crane maintenance or repairs as needed. - Notify maintenance teams of major repairs or technical issues.
