The key missions of Treasury are:
identify and mitigate financial risks, (currencies, rates, commodities, liquidity, counterparty, etc),
be the Group’s center of excellence in the areas of Group financing, working capital management,
payments, cash & liquidity management and related internal controls.

APAC CoE Treasurers are the interface between the Corporate team and the Clusters & GBUs/ entities / BSCs. They provide guidance and expertise in the area of treasury to local finance teams. Among the main roles, the COE treasurers will manage group bank relationships in the region, the compliance to group policies, and ensure all affiliates have enough funds to run their operations:
-Link with HO Treasury teams, ensure group policies are applied
-Validate FX exposure, FX hedging policy, and analysis of FX gain & loss
-Manage domestic and cross-border cash pools
-Contribute to all necessary action plans for WCR improvement (AR factoring, supply chain finance, financial leasing…)
-Centralize regional bank relationship, locate quality bank services, and align banking terms and conditions
-Closely follow up local regulations and market practices, propose and implement action plans accordingly

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Accountabilities & related Activities:

1. FX/Commodity Risk Management

  • Support and provide guidance for the proper commercial terms and conditions about FX rate and commodity price in line with group policy

  • Understand underlying business and FX exposure across the scope.

  • Validate hedging strategy both FX and interest rate.

  • Analyse FX gain and loss

2. Cash and Liquidity Management

  • Maintain local cash pooling structure within the entities.

  • Maintain cross-border cash pooling structure

  • Ensure necessary actions for anti-fraud purposes

  • Ensure short-term funding is available, either via cash pool or from group core banks

3. WCR Improvement Tools

  • Monitor working capital and cash culture KPI

  • Drive implementation of factoring, supply chain finance, and leasing when necessary.

4. Performance, Quality & Conformity Management

  • Manage and update Treasury procedures if needed.

  • Manage Treasury Internal Control Reviews in coordination with Group Treasury and Head of COE

  • Review Treasury Group reporting and intercompany reports, monitor the deployment of any treasury project

5. Bank Relationship Management and Treasury Administration

  • Centralize regional bank relationship, locate quality bank services, and align banking terms and conditions

  • Bank Accounts Administration (opening, closing, updating authorized signatories, banking access rights...etc.) or supervision in case done by local admin.

  • Drive the reduction of the number of bank accounts across the entities, review the bank fees and decide on an action plan to reduce transaction costs.

  • Schedule regular meetings with core and local banks if any to review their performance and if needed take action to improve the level of the service

  • Provide information to answer queries from management & external parties jointly with local teams

Are you a MATCH?

The successful candidate should have:

  • Very fluent in speaking English. Possess language proficiency in Japanese / Korean is a plus.

  • Solid knowledge and experiences on liquidity management, cash management (domestic and cross-border cash pool, e-banking platform and host-to-host connection, cash forecast modelling)

  • Strong commitment on project management (manage strategy, resource, process and quality)
