Job Description: Hotel Halal and Hygiene Executive
Position Summary:
The Halal and Hygiene Executive is responsible for ensuring that all food and beverage operations comply with Halal standards and hygiene regulations. This role includes overseeing the implementation of Halal practices, conducting regular audits, and ensuring that the hotel's operations adhere to both local and international hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hotel industry and must be a certified Halal Executive.
Key Responsibilities:
Halal Compliance:
- Ensure that all food and beverage offerings meet Halal certification requirements.
- Work closely with kitchen and purchasing teams to verify the Halal status of ingredients and suppliers.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain Halal certification.
- Liaise with Halal certification bodies and ensure all documentation is up to date.
Hygiene Standards:
- Develop, implement, and monitor hygiene policies and procedures in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Conduct regular hygiene inspections in all areas of the hotel, including kitchens, dining areas, and guest facilities.
- Provide training and support to staff on hygiene best practices and standards.
- Manage pest control measures and ensure that the hotel maintains a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about changes in Halal and hygiene regulations and ensure the hotel remains in compliance.
- Prepare for and facilitate external audits and inspections from regulatory bodies.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all Halal and hygiene-related activities, including audits, inspections, and training sessions.
- Provide regular reports to management on compliance status and areas for improvement.
Training and Development:
- Conduct training sessions for staff on Halal practices and hygiene standards.
- Develop educational materials and resources to enhance staff knowledge and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hotel industry.
- Certified Halal Executive qualification is required.
- Strong knowledge of Halal certification requirements and hygiene standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
